Steak Salad With Buttermilk Dressing

Ingredients
- 8 ounces steak (boneless beef top sirloin)
- 8 cups lettuce (torn mixed greens)
- 1/4 cup basil (fresh finely shredded)
- 2 carrots (cut into thin bite size strips)
- 1 cup tomato (yellow or red pear shaped tomatoes, halved)
- 1 red bell pepper (cut into thin bite sized strips)
Recipe
- 1 if desired partially freeze meat for easier slicing.
- 2 arrange salad greens on four dinner plates.
- 3 set aside.
- 4 trim fat from meat.
- 5 cut meat across the grain into thin bite - sized strips.
- 6 lightly coat an unheated large skillet with cooking spray: heat over medium - high heat.
- 7 add meat strips.
- 8 cook and stir for 2 - 3 minutes or until meat is slightly pink in center.
- 9 remove from heat.
- 10 stir in basil.
- 11 season to taste with kosher salt and black pepper.
