Russian Garlic Salad

Total Time: 120 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 120 hrs

Ingredients

  • 30 garlic cloves, cleaned and peeled
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 blanch the whole cloves of garlic in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  • 2 remove and plunge into cold water.
  • 3 drain.
  • 4 mix with the remaining ingredients.
  • 5 allow to marinate for 5 days in the refrigerator before serving.
  • 6 the salad is served as it is, in small bowls alongside the main plate.
  • 7 or you may chop this up and add it to a layered green salad.
