Self Crusting Quiche

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 pint cream
  • 1/2 pint milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 slices bacon, fried and chopped
  • 1 bunch spinach, washed,stems removed,cooked and roughly chopped
  • 2 tomatoes
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled

Recipe

  • 1 whisk the eggs, cream and milk and set aside.
  • 2 mix the flour, baking powder, onion and grated cheese.
  • 3 add to this the egg mixture and combine.
  • 4 add the melted butter and season with salt and pepper.
  • 5 pour this mixture into a well greased quiche/flan dish.
  • 6 then add all other ingredients- this ensures the filling is distributed evenly.
  • 7 bake in moderate oven for approxiamately 40 minutes or until the center feels set when pressed.
  • 8 this is yummmmmmy served with a lettuce salad.
