Steak Stroganoff For 2

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon salad oil
  • 2 beef cube steaks
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon salad oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 (2 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces

Recipe

  • 1 in 8-inch skillet, cook and stir onion in 1 tablespoon oil until tender, about 4 minutes.
  • 2 remove from skillet and set aside.
  • 3 coat steaks with flour. heat 2 tablespoons oil in same skillet; cook steaks over medium heat, about 4 minutes on each side.
  • 4 sprinkle with salt.
  • 5 place steaks on warm platter or dinner plates.
  • 6 drain fat from skillet. add onion, sour cream and mushrooms (with liquid) to skillet; heat, stirring ocassionally.
  • 7 serve sauce on steaks.
  • 8 good on hot buttered egg (2 cups dry) noodles with a dash of parsley flakes mixed inches.
