Steak Stroganoff For 2

Ingredients

- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 2 beef cube steaks
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 (2 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces
Recipe
- 1 in 8-inch skillet, cook and stir onion in 1 tablespoon oil until tender, about 4 minutes.
- 2 remove from skillet and set aside.
- 3 coat steaks with flour. heat 2 tablespoons oil in same skillet; cook steaks over medium heat, about 4 minutes on each side.
- 4 sprinkle with salt.
- 5 place steaks on warm platter or dinner plates.
- 6 drain fat from skillet. add onion, sour cream and mushrooms (with liquid) to skillet; heat, stirring ocassionally.
- 7 serve sauce on steaks.
- 8 good on hot buttered egg (2 cups dry) noodles with a dash of parsley flakes mixed inches.
